Visit a Facial Surgeon Before Your Wedding

Facial SurgeonAs a facial surgeon, we can help you look your best for your special day. With an upcoming wedding, it is normal to be worried about every aspect of your appearance. After all, this is a day that will be remembered for a long time, both in your memories and in pictures. You want to make sure you can smile with confidence and be proud of how you look and how you feel. We can help with that.

Here are a few things a facial surgeon can help you with:

Botox®.

Getting wrinkles as you age is perfectly normal. The good news is that you have options in how to deal with them. There are two main ways that wrinkles are formed, one of them being that the muscles underneath begin to contract and force your skin to wrinkle as a result. Botox® can be injected into these areas and cause your muscles to completely relax. The results are fairly instantaneous, and you will end up with a relaxed appearance that is far more youthful. This procedure is affordable, and even if you are getting married in a couple of days, the results will be there in time for your wedding photos.

Microdermabrasion.

As a facial surgeon, we also offer non-invasive microdermabrasion. This procedure addresses the other cause for wrinkles: the skin itself. This is a gentle procedure where we lightly remove some of the surface layer of your skin. Consider it a more intensive exfoliation. Since your wrinkles can live in this outer layer that is damaged by your natural environment and even the makeup you wear, allowing some of the new and healthy skin to show through can dramatically improve your appearance. Your skin will also be softer to the touch and smoother, which can be quite lovely.

Dental implants.

If you are missing teeth, that is certainly going to impact your appearance on your wedding day. There is nothing that hinders a smile more than seeing one or several teeth missing. We can replace them using dental implants so you can smile with confidence. As a facial surgeon, this is a procedure we perform on a regular basis. During it, we implant a small titanium post under the gums and secure it to the jawbone. The body reacts differently to titanium than it would to most things. In fact, it treats titanium as if it were natural matter and responds by depositing bone around it. This allows osseointegration to take place where the titanium post and jawbone fuse together to create a new root system. Once complete, we can attach an abutment to the implant and a new tooth to it. The tooth portion is created in a dental lab to look identical to your natural teeth, so once placed, you cannot tell the difference between your real teeth and the replacement one. The one thing to note is that this procedure takes time, so unlike Botox® or microdermabrasion, you should plan to visit us several months before your wedding.

If you want to look and feel your very best for your special day, schedule an appointment with our office to speak with a facial surgeon about your options.
